The GVLT Summer Trail’s Challenge is going on now through June 27, 2024! Join me in logging your miles to help GVLT get to 90,0000 miles. Many wonderful sponsors have funded the match pool to match each mile logged; 1 mile = $1 raised.

This event is free to participate and open to everyone in the Gallatin Valley! Whether you’re walking your dog, hiking, trail running or biking - if you’re doing it on trails within the Gallatin Valley your miles count. Go to https://gvlt.org/events/challenge/ and log those miles.

I’m proud to say that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties is included in the sponsors again this year. On top of that, we are doing group hikes twice a week to encourage all our agents to get out there and help log miles for the cause. Such a fun reason to get outside. Not to mention that all the wildflowers are starting to bloom! It’s been absolutely beautiful at Drinking Horse and The ‘M’ Trail the past week.

Another great place to find abundant wildflowers is the Mount Ellis trail. If you haven’t been there I highly recommend it. Another one of my favorite trails is the Triple Tree Trail. It’s a moderate 5 mile hike with stunning views of the valley. Please note that this June the trail is only open Saturday and Sunday as they are doing important maintenance work during the week.

With the sunny warm days lately most of the trails are finally drying out but please make sure to be thoughtful about where you go. Avoid trails that are muddy – with all the amazing trails in our area it should be easy to find an alternate for that day.

Our local trail system is one of the most incredible parts about living in Bozeman. Please join this free fundraising event to help GVLT get funds to continue their great work of creating and maintaining the trails. Hopefully I’ll see you out there!
