Best Steak Restaurants Near Bozeman

If you’re looking for a good steak
somewhere near Bozeman let me give you the inside scoop. To be honest my absolute
favorite is barbequing my own steak at home and playing fetch with the dog while
it cooks. But sometimes you just want to go out! And there are some great
places to find amazing steak dinners here in Bozeman.
The Mint: The Mint in
Belgrade, MT has been around longer than I have. It’s had a few different
owners but each has kept the same wonderful “true Montana” feel inside. Their
steaks are always cooked well and come with two sides of your choosing. Another
plus is they often have a Prime Rib specials on the weekend. Pro tip, try the
spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer!
Open Range: Located in the
heart of Downtown Bozeman, Open Range became a staple as soon as it opened.
With a modern western vibe and good cocktails, they provide more than just good
food. The steaks are buttery and cooked well. The sides only come al la carte
but they are all delicious and many come in a little cast iron pan.
The Land of Magic: Located
in Logan, MT most are a little skeptical as you pull off the interstate into
the small town. But the Land of Magic never disappoints! One of the few places
that you get the full “steak dinner” experience anymore. All meals come with a
salad, shrimp cocktail, incredible steak dinner with a potato of your choosing and
then it’s topped with an ice cream Sunday. Pro tip, come extra hungry!
J.W. Heist Steakhouse: One
of Downtown Bozeman newer additions, J.W. Heist became the popular special occasion
spot right away. Their steaks are cooked on a wood fire grill, offering up a
unique taste and flavor. With a moodier atmosphere and stunning art you won’t
be disappointed you stopped in.
Ted’s Montana Grill: Located
in Downtown Bozeman, Ted’s offers good food with a great background. As one might
expect from the name, the restaurant offers bison steaks as well as beef (opened
and owned by the famous Ted Turner). If you’ve never tried bison this is the perfect
opportunity!
Feddes Family Meats: If you’re
like me and you prefer to cook your own, I highly recommend checking out Feddes
Family Meats in Manhattan, MT! The meat is locally raised and processed,
meaning it’s sustainable in addition to being absolutely delicious. Keep your
eye out for their trailer at the Farmer’s Markets this summer too.
Don’t worry, all of these places
offer other items in case steak is not for you or someone you’re with. Did I
forget to include a great spot? If so, please let me know!
